| Peregrine Falcon and Golden Gate Bridge |

I remember my first encounter with wildlife was in Tilden Park as a grade school student. I still can remember the park ranger pointing up and saying "That is a Red-tailed Hawk."
My interest in photography began more than thirty years ago while taking photos of my son, Tim. It peaked with a trip to San Ignacio Lagoon to watch whales. As time went by, my interest in photography grew, and I enrolled in photography classes at U.C. Berkeley,The Lepp Institute of Digital Imaging, and I keep taking pictures. Digital photography has opened many more doors. I am now doing all my photography with my Canon digital camera.
I have been an active birdwatcher and naturalist for many years.
Being a member of the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory, as both a Hawkwatcher and Bander, has given me the opportunity to get up close to the wildlife I love. I respect the power, the beauty and the grace in these magnificent creatures.
My photographs have been published in educational materials, books, newspapers, and National Park publications. I'm delighted to be able to share them with you. If you have any questions, comments or would like to purchase any of the over 7000 images in my portfolio please send me an Email at raptorpictures@aol.com . |
